Medication Refills & Follow-Up Consult Guidelines and FAQ
See below for more information on medication refills and follow-up consultation guidelines:
Choosing a Pharmacy
Refer to the Treatment Plan & Medication Pricing Form to determine the pharmacy, compound additives, and pricing that best suits your needs.
Check the Pharmacy State Coverage List to confirm that your chosen pharmacy ships to your state.
Refill Eligibility
You may only submit a refill request if:
You have completed a new patient consult or follow-up with your provider within the last six months. A follow-up is required every six months to monitor your progress.
If your last medication order was your first time being prescribed a particular medication, a follow-up is required before your first refill.
- You are requesting the same medication(s) as your previous order.
Switching medications (e.g., Semaglutide to Tirzepatide or vice versa) requires a follow-up.
- Switching to an equivalent medication from another pharmacy is permitted.
For medications with variable dosing, you may only refill at the same tier/dose or the next tier up from your previous order.
Refill requests can be processed 21 days (three weeks) from your last invoice payment date.
Empower orders can be submitted 14 days (two weeks) from your last invoice payment date due to shipping delays.
Wellness medications do not require a prior prescription and may be requested anytime using the Wellness Medication Order Form (current patients only).
GLP Extended Treatment Plan (ETP) Guidelines
ETPs are prescribed at your provider’s discretion based on your individual needs.
ETPs are for established patients on stable doses or maintenance treatment.
A follow-up appointment is required to request an ETP.
ETPs cannot be requested via the refill form.
Completing a follow-up does not guarantee an ETP prescription.
- If your last GLP order was an ETP:
You may submit a follow-up no sooner than 10 weeks from your last ETP invoice payment date to request another ETP.
Alternatively, you may submit a refill for a regular tier package six weeks (42 days) after your last ETP invoice. You may only increase one tier from your last order.
Reorder Timing Recommendations
Empower Pharmacy
Submit refill request 14 days from your last invoice payment date
Shipping timeline: 12–14 business days
Red Rock & Strive
Submit 1–2 weeks before your supply runs out due to stricter BUD windows
BUDs are based on the production date, not the receipt date.
Each pharmacy’s estimated BUD range is listed in the Treatment Plan & Medication Pricing Form.
