Patient Portal

Add The Patient Portal To Your Phone

The portal is not in the App Store or on Google Play — there is nothing to search for. You add it straight from your phone's browser, and afterwards it sits on your home screen and opens like any other app.

iPhone & iPad

Use Safari

  1. Open the portal login page in Safari.
  2. Tap the Share button — the square with an arrow pointing up, at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Scroll the list and tap Add to Home Screen.
  4. Tap Add. The icon appears on your home screen.

Android

Use Chrome

  1. Open the portal login page in Chrome.
  2. Tap the three dots at the top right.
  3. Tap Install app or Add to Home screen — the wording depends on your Android version.
  4. Confirm. The icon appears on your home screen.

The browser matters more than anything else here. On iPhone this only works in Safari, and on Android it only works in Chrome. If you are in a different browser the option simply will not be in the menu, and nothing is wrong with your phone or your account.

Before You Start

  • You need your portal login. Adding the icon does not create an account or log you in — it is a shortcut to the same portal you already use.
  • Open the login page first. Add it to your home screen from that page, so the icon lands you in the right place every time.
  • Turn off private browsing. Private and incognito windows hide the option on both platforms.

What Changes Once You Add It

What You Gain

An icon on your home screen, and the portal opens full screen without the browser bars — so it looks and behaves like an app rather than a bookmark.

What Stays The Same

The same login, the same messages, the same information. Nothing moves and nothing is duplicated — you are opening the portal by a shorter route.

If You Don't See The Option

  • Check which browser you are in. This is the reason nine times out of ten. Chrome on an iPhone will not offer it; Safari on an iPhone will.
  • Check whether it is already there. Swipe through your home screens and your app library before adding it again.
  • Look further down the share menu. On iPhone the option sits below the row of apps, so it is easy to miss without scrolling.
  • Update your browser. Very old versions of Safari and Chrome do not offer it at all.

Still stuck? Email support@lavenderskyhealth.com and tell us which phone and which browser you are using — that is usually enough for us to spot it straight away. You can keep using the portal in your browser in the meantime; nothing about your care depends on having the icon.
