Sermorelin ODT

Sermorelin is a prescription medicine that may help adults with increasing muscle mass, energy and endurance and prevent sarcopenia (loss of muscle mass), especially while on a reduced calorie diet and GLP-1 therapy. It can also have anti-aging benefits and may also help to improve libido and sexual performance.   

Sermorelin is a modified version of a naturally occurring substance that causes release of growth hormone from the pituitary gland. Growth hormones are naturally produced by the pituitary gland and are necessary for growth. Sermorelin can help to restore the levels of HGH, allowing you to regain your youthful energy and vitality.

Sermorelin is not a steroid and should not be confused with treatments such as testosterone, progesterone, estrogen or human growth hormone replacement.

With Sermorelin, nothing is being replaced in your body. Sermorelin peptide will help your pituitary gland produce large amounts of its own growth hormone.

It takes time to see results with Sermorelin, with an average of 3-6 months of treatment to see clinical improvements.

Who should not use compounded sermorelin? 

 Do not use compounded Sermorelin if: 

• You have a known allergic reaction to sermorelin-containing products or products that include human Growth Hormone Releasing Peptides (hGHRPs) 

• Breastfeeding 

• Pregnant   

• Current benign or cancerous tumor(s) 

You may not be advised to take Sermorelin if you take:

• Thyroid Medication 

• Steroids 

• Type 2 Diabetes—can affect glucose levels 

• Chronic use of immunosuppressive therapy 

• hGH medication  

Side Effects:

Rare but serious: Anaphylaxis/Allergic Reaction (trouble breathing, swallowing)

Most Common:

• Itching  

• Flushing 

• Dizziness 

• Flushing 

• Headache 

• Sleepiness 

• Trouble sitting still 

Storage: Store this medication at 68°F to 77°F (20°C to 25°C) and away from heat, moisture and light. Keep all medicine out of the reach of children. Throw away any unused medicine after the beyond use date. Do not flush unused medications or pour down a sink or drain.

This medication is taken orally and should be dissolved under the tongue.

★ Dosing:

Standard ODT (orally disintegrating tablet) dosing is 500mcg (1/2 tab from Empower) 5 evenings per week

Example schedule: 1/2 tablet taken Monday-Friday at bedtime, none taken on Saturday/Sunday
